The Korean manufacturer's compact SUV will be offered in a 39.2 kWh battery pack with 186 mile range and a 64 kWh pack with 292 miles of range. It is expected to sell in the low $30,000's for the short range version with the long range version coming in at $40,000.

At home you can expect the Kona Electric to charge off the 240v AC outlets at 7.2 kW if you have one, and 70kW via CCS. Compared to the Chevy Bolt which tops out at 54 kW on the same CCS plug.

This doesn't matter so much because current CCS charging stations, at least in the US, don't exceed 50 kW yet, so we'll have to wait for the next gen stations which go up to 100 kW to see this difference.
