It looks like Tesla has reached a rate of production they feel is satisfactory enough to show off publicly after reaching a 2000 cars a week production capacity. This comes after they had to temporarily shut down the plant in order to rip out a complex network of conveyor belts that were not working correctly, it isn't clear what sort of system they have reverted back to.
