Autopilot 3.0 coming for free to Tesla Autopilot 2.0 and above owners

Pete Bannon made it known during Tesla's earnings call that they are working on a new chip for a new Autopilot chip they have been producing since 2016. It will be able to process 2,000 frames per second versus the 200 frames per second of the current hardware.

It was designed as a neural network accelerator, tied in with all the AI work they've been doing and should be ready by next year.
